About the job you’re considering
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Validation Engineer to join our hardware development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and validating power and high-speed interfaces in hardware prototypes consisting of SoCs and peripherals. You will work hands-on with hardware test equipment to ensure robust and reliable system performance.
Your role· Design high-speed PCBs for complex hardware systems.
· Conduct schematic and board-level reviews to ensure design integrity.
· Bring up PCBs and systems using diagnostic software and tools.
· Perform unit-level validation of boards and systems based on established guidelines and test plans.
· Debug hardware issues, identify root causes, and document corrective actions.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, signal integrity, thermal, and manufacturing.
· Contribute to at least two full-cycle PCB design projects.
Your skills and experience· 5+ years of experience in PCB and system-level development, preferably in server, computer, or networking industries.
· Strong background in electrical design, validation, and high-speed circuit design.
· Proficient in signal and power integrity analysis, and debugging techniques.
· Hands-on experience with lab bring-up and design validation.
· In-depth knowledge of high-speed SerDes interfaces (>1G) and related signal integrity principles.
· Familiarity with x86 architecture and control interfaces such as PCIe, MDIO, SPI, I2C.
· Solid understanding of power delivery and distribution techniques.
· Experience working with CPLDs and FPGAs.
· Proficient in board design tools such as Cadence Concept and Allegro.
· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications· Experience in server or data center hardware environments.
· Exposure to thermal and mechanical design considerations.
· Familiarity with automated test frameworks and scripting.
