Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a global leader in aerospace and industrial engineering, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting enterprise-wide projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and excellent cross-functional communication qualities that align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Mason, OH (On-site with 70% nationwide travel)
All travel expenses will be reimbursed weekly

Pay Range: $38.09 $40.75/hour

Whats the Job?

• Prepare mechanical layouts and equipment distribution plans using CAD tools
• Select equipment and define bill of materials for medium and large-scale projects
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to design material handling solutions
• Support on-site commissioning and troubleshoot issues during installation phases
• Ensure project scope, budget, and schedule are maintained throughout the life cycle

Whats Needed?

• 1 year of mechanical design engineering experience or 8 years of Mechanical design experience working with engineers
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD and mechanical layout design
• Experience with equipment distribution and bill of materials
• Ability to travel up to 70% to client sites nationwide
• Strong cross-functional communication and project coordination skills
• Must be a U.S Citizen or Green Card holder
