- Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge aerospace and defense products and services.
- Conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle of fully integrated systems.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Support programs such as aircraft modifications for defense customer needs and next-generation surveillance aircraft for the Army.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with typically 3 or more years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- US Security Clearance eligibility.
- Experience with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
- Experience with electrical design tools like CATIA Electrical (preferred), AutoCAD, or others.
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
- Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
- Knowledge of guidance and certification of aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS).
- Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, including model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
This position is onsite in Hagerstown, MD. You will work in a dynamic and innovative environment, with opportunities to engage in exciting programs and collaborate with teams on projects involving modifications of Bombardier Challenger 650s and Bombardier 6500 aircraft for defense and surveillance missions. The facility includes hangars with aircrafts onsite, allowing engineers to physically interact with the projects.
