Project Engineer

Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you will provide design and engineering support, focusing on designing mechanical systems. You will play a crucial role in understanding project requirements by reviewing documentation, meeting with customers, and visiting job sites. You will serve as a technical liaison between the company and external engineering/technical resources. Additionally, you will assist in growing the company's energy consulting services, including energy modeling, LEED/WELL analysis/management, and building commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems and provide engineering support.
  • Review project documentation and meet with customers to gain a thorough understanding of projects.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between the company and external engineering/technical resources.
  • Assist in growing energy modeling, LEED/WELL analysis/management, and building commissioning capabilities.
  • Sell design build mechanical systems and pursue annual sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, educating them about the company's services.
  • Take customer, account manager, and technician repair requests, prioritize them, and generate repair quotes.
  • Maintain a preventive maintenance list spreadsheet and select vendors for net value when supplying materials.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • 1 to 10 years of engineering design experience in a relevant field.
  • Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
  • PE/DE certification or a path to obtain one.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in project management and estimation.
  • Ability to maintain strong customer relations and develop new business relationships.
  • Proficiency in understanding and evaluating repair requests and preventive maintenance needs.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
