As a TE1, you will receive a thorough introduction to the three core ODOT Capital Programs disciplines; Planning, Engineering, and Construction.
You will work alongside of ODOT professional engineers.
You will receive hands-on transportation training & experience needed to further your career as an engineer with ODOT.

Transportation Engineer 1:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
Transportation Engineer 2:
Valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 1, 85641.

Valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; Cumulative 12 mos. exp. as an Engineering College Intern with ODOT with portions in Engineering and Planning or Construction.
