Job Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary: The Development Engineer will play a crucial role in the development, integration, and testing of systems and components for our semiconductor metrology equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for advancing technology in the semiconductor field. The position offers opportunities to engage in engineering design tasks and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot systems and components as part of equipment development
- As part of system integration, combine hardware and electrical subsystems with software to deliver seamless, high-performance products
- Establish and document assembly, build and maintenance process and procedures for new equipment designs
- Ability to understand the manufacturing assembly process and generate documentation for manufacturing and service
- Release documented procedures through ECN process
- As part of field support, travel (up to 30%) to customer sites within and outside the US
- Job requires full-time presence on-site at primary factory location
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with courses related to mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and 2+ years of demonstrated experience
- You consider yourself a hands-on person
- Ability to understand and work with schematics, detail and assembly drawings, and procedures.
- Capable of using CAD software
- Ability to work with assemblers and ATE to understand and document manufacturing build process
- You are multitalented and interested in very interdisciplinary and collaborative work
Strong plus:
- Experience with Semiconductor capital equipment
- Perform electrical wiring, soldering, and crimping activities as part of product development
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
