We are seeking a motivated Materials & Process Engineer that will work on a broad range of hand-on projects, in our space electronics manufacturing center, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Working side by side with design, manufacturing, and quality engineers, youll use your education, experience, and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and existing processes, that will directly impact the success of our missions and the future of space exploration.

In this role you will:
As an Electronics M&P Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in aiding the design, manufacturing, and test of PWBs, CCAs and Cable and Harnesses.
Troubleshoot problems with processes and/or products and find meaningful solutions.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Test Engineering, and Procurement.
Review and approve engineering drawings, technical requirements, and specifications.
Participate in or lead failure analysis, issue resolution, and corrective action investigations

The ability to work with management and program representatives at several levels Skill Requirements:
Experience in Materials Engineering, demonstrated through professional work history or relevant academic background.
Understanding of material properties definitions.
Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications or reports, and providing guidance to engineers or stakeholders.
Experience with either metals, composites, polymers, adhesive bonding, thin films, and/or coatings for corrosion or thermal control.
Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Authorization Requirements:
To meet requirements of the programs/customers that this person will interface with, this position requires the selected applicant to be a U.S. Citizen. Experience in an aerospace electronics manufacturing / test environment.
Experience with Materials & Process qualification efforts (i.e., statistical process control, DOE, etc.).
Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).
Experience with industry standards (NASA standards, IPC, ASTM, etc.) for space electronics applications.
Knowledge of laboratory material test/evaluation methods (mechanical, electrical, surface chemistry, etc.).
Experience with soldering, adhesive bonding, conformal coating, cables/harnesses, and ESD.
