Electrical Engineer Location: Orlando, Florida (hybrid) Assignment Type: Contract Start Date: ASAP Compensation: $40-$45 / h Contract duration: 1y Job Description: Alphanumeric, on behalf of one of our business partners with over 20 years of experience in the Power infrastructure industry, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team on a contract basis to support Gas Turbine projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in low-voltage electrical power distribution and be proficient in designing systems for auxiliary equipment. This role is hybrid, with the main workplace being in Orlando, FL. This role requires being fully eligible to work in the USA without the need of work visa sponsorship. Key Responsibilities: Design low-voltage (600V and below) electrical power distribution systems. Specify and implement equipment such as MCCs, panelboards, LV transformers, DC systems, and batteries. Perform calculations for equipment sizing (breakers, overload devices), cable/conduit sizing, equipment spacing, and illumination levels. Maintain and update bill of materials and other project documentation. Support the specification and selection of electrical equipment. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive power plant design. Respond to technical inquiries from customers, vendors, and field personnel. Utilize SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) and SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) for deliverables. Qualifications: Proven experience in electrical design for industrial or power generation projects. Thorough knowledge on the National US Electrical code Proficiency with SmartPlant Electrical and Instrumentation tools. Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and electrical equipment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
