Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is looking for an Electrical Engineer III to join our team. This is an onsite role based out of our Carrollton, TX office just outside of Dallas.

SCOPE:The Electrical Engineer III will support the designing and delivery of advanced power distribution, backup, and modular electrical systems for hyperscale and colocation data center clients. The Electrical Engineer III will be a key contributor to a high-impact engineering team developing standardized, factory-integrated solutions for the world's largest operators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and develop data center electrical distribution systems: MV/LV switchgear, busway, PDUs, UPS integration, generator systems, modular skids/enclosures.Apply knowledge of NEC, IEC, UL, and other applicable codes.Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, controls, manufacturing) to develop integrated modular products.Perform electrical calculations: load studies, arc-flash, short-circuit, coordination.Generate design packages: schematics, layouts, single-lines, BOMs.Support customer technical reviews and adapt designs for client-specific standards.Contribute to emerging technology integration (solid-state switchgear, DC power, energy storage, renewables integration).Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site commissioning activities.Develop and test electrical equipment, components, circuits or systems.Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achievedConducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or productsThis list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive, and an employee may be required to perform other relevant duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education Requirement: B.A or B.S. in Electrical Engineering.Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of electrical design experience with emphasis on data centers or mission-critical power systems.Strong knowledge of NEC and international standards.Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

7+ years' experience including hyperscale/colocation customer engagements.Experience with modular power systems or prefabricated electrical skids.Knowledge of emerging power tech (microgrids, energy storage, decarbonization).PE from any Jurisdiction

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Travel %: 20Standard Monday through Friday work week. Weekend/late night work if applicable.Lifting/physical requirements: Regularly required to sit for long period, stand, walk, talk and/or hear Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
