Drive conversations between sourcing, engineering, and suppliers to optimize NDT (cost/benefit trade-offs). Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work. Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment. Provide engineering estimation of NDT examination performance for factory and in-service test conditions. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in relevant Science or Engineering field (Materials, Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical). Minimum 10 years experience with non-destructive test methods and procedures, including at least 5 with ultra-sonic test methods. Minimum 10 years engineering experience Ability and willingness to travel (international and domestic) up to 20% of the time Desired Characteristics Strong verbal and written communication skills. Hands on experience with NDT methods for volumetric (UT) and surface (MPI, PT) inspection. Proficiency in common NDT methods for metals. Good understanding of other acoustic and electromagnetic test methods. Experience/knowledge of PAUT. Familiarity with casting, forging, welding and joining material processes. Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards for NDT. Understanding of EHS requirements for NDT practices. Inquisitiveness and desire to learn and apply SOA NDT methods and techniques. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
