Engineering Technician - Levels 3 and 4 Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Engineering Technician Level 3 and 4, to join our team in Pleasanton, CA. Position Responsibilities: Develops, maintains, and releases electrical/mechanical drawings. Manages, interprets, and develops design, test, and analytical requirements. Coordinates, manages, and leads activities, including lab maintenance and repairs, and personnel training. Collaborates with cross-functional groups, internal partners, and external suppliers to meet work objectives and resolve problems. Performs internal peer reviews and collaborate with colleagues in the team. Participates in design reviews. Validates engineering system design and functionality. Works with hardware and software design engineers to bring-up and debug new board designs. Troubleshoots and resolves complex laboratory and test-related problems including component level debug of circuit boards. Performs design verification testing and supports post-production activities. Follows and up-holds company lab guidance and standards to ensure compliance. 5+ years of relevant experiences working in engineering lab. Self-motivator and take ownership of work assignments and projects. Ability to execute multiple project and work assignments with shifting priorities. Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Level 4: 8 years of technical lab experience, or Associate degree with 6 years' experience or Bachelor's degree with 4 year's experience Level 3: 5 years of technical lab experience, or Associate degree with 3 years' experience or Bachelor's degree with 1+ years' experience Experience using design tools to document and maintain configuration control Experience working with circuit board development, troubleshoot, debug, and repair Experience with performing lab and bench tests Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with hand-on assembly, practical soldering, troubleshooting, debugging, and innovative problem-solving Experience with designing and building test fixtures Experience with hand-on assembly, practical soldering, troubleshooting, debugging, and innovative problem-solving Familiar with schematic capture and circuit board layout tools Experience working in cross-functional team settings Experience with military/defense programs. Experience in aviation industry. Experience in production environment Soldering certification. Typical Education/Experience: Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.) Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).
