Assess Dx transformer and Breaker health, facilitate SME reviews and determine action plans. Additional responsibilities will include working with Dx to develop a prioritized asset replacement plan, analytics and sparing strategy.
The responsibilities of this position include assisting with the testing and commissioning of the communication path of newly installed substation asset monitoring equipment from the substation to a centralized PI server and from there into the APM application. In addition to the setting up of the initial communication paths, this position will also routinely monitor these paths to ensure that the data continues to flow into the PI server. Should an error occur with data flow, this position will be responsible to coordinate the IT Network, Field Communication Technicians, and Substation field resources to resolve the issue. Finally, this position will be responsible for analyzing the substation asset online monitoring data to determine the overall health of the asset as well as coordinating the initial response of field and corporate groups like TSS and regional substation personnel should the health data indicate a degrading performance of the monitored asset. There will be over 300 TR monitors, 4800 BKR monitors, and 250 battery monitors added to the network over the next 5-10 years.
Utilizing project management skills for projects relating to the Asset Performance Management (APM) software tool.
Conducting technical research and analyzing highly complex data; Interpreting results; Providing recommendations to high-level solutions.
Recommending and implementing technical solutions to complex issues and assignments.
Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage, enhance, and maintain the AHC database and data.
Developing process improvements and efficiencies to improve work products.
Providing support to FEU personnel on information and /or reports related to Substation Assets.
Provide support through spare equipment management and equipment replacement recommendations.
Understanding of substations, substation equipment and devices preferred.
Experience with maintenance, testing and configuration of substation devices preferred.
Knowledge of substation equipment maintenance practices is preferred.
Project Management experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand substation design prints and bills of material preferred.
Ability to analyze large datasets, familiarity with databases and database structure preferred.
Strong analytical and technical abilities.
Familiarity with the following Cascade / QlikView / SAP / TOA / DobleWeb is preferred.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
In-depth understanding of applicable technical products and/or services and of customer needs and expectations.
