Responsibilities

  • Provide technical project management leadership to assigned projects primarily focused on electrical controls, automation, and power distribution.
  • Lead project teams of multiple backgrounds including sanitation, quality, safety, operations, maintenance, and other technical and operations resources.
  • Prepare cost, lead-time, and downtime estimates for assigned projects and project cost studies request.
  • Provide technical support to project engineers related to electrical controls, instrumentation, automation and power distribution.
  • Prepare engineering specifications, detailed scopes of work and bidding documentation for assigned projects
  • Specify bid, select, and purchase equipment, instrumentation, parts, and contractor services to deliver project requirements.
  • Supervise project work conducted by contractors, plant labor, and service personnel to ensure efficient coordination and completion of assignments.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexity and priority simultaneously.
  • Provide engineering support to departments, maintenance, focused improvement teams, and others as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering degree or minimum 7 years electrical design and project management experience.
  • Master’s degree in engineering is a Plus
  • Ability to travel 15%
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to deliver results.
  • Exceptional people skills with strong commitment to a team approach.
  • Familiar with spreadsheets, word processing, and PC's.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industrial control networks, Data Highway+, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet.
  • Strong understanding of Power Systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of PanelView, WonderWare, and RSView. Operator interface packages.
  • Knowledge and understanding of barcode technology, vision systems, and servo systems.
  • Ability to apply sound engineering principles to assigned projects and cost studies
  • Ability to design machine control systems according to standards and specifications.
  • Understanding of the NEC, ARC Flash, and Machine Safety Standards.
  • Ability to develop electrical design drawings in AUTO CAD, and detailed sequence-of-operation documents.
  • Familiar with OSHA, NFPA, and other compliance codes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Allen Bradley family of PLC’s, Operator Interfaces, and VFD’s.
  • Able to integrate Control Logix, PLC 5, and SLC’
