We are searching for the best talent for a Project Engineer to join our team in Raritan, NJ.

You will be responsible for the equipment and operational readiness of equipment and processes in our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient facility expansion operation while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Engineer for the Capacity Expansion Operational Readiness Team.

  • Set up and integrate new equipment and processes into the manufacturing environment.

  • Diagnose and drive resolution to technical issues involving manufacturing equipment and processes

  • Conduct research and analyze data to determine feasibility and applicability of new designs and improvements.

  • Provide innovative insights for new equipment enhancements and optimized processes.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate project implementations to achieve regulatory and quality standards.

  • Develop execution plans and lead engineering/maintenance activities to enable Expansion project deliverables, ensure proper scheduling of functional areas, provide detailed documentation, communication, and supervision of contractors.

  • Provide engineering oversight to Expansion construction activities to ensure no impact to GMP operations. Perform work related risk assessments, as needed.

  • Complete walkdowns of Expansion project space, encompassing construction to clean room space, to ensure sufficient for turnover at each project phase. Maintain and ensure completion of punchlist items.

  • Interact with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, C&Q, Quality, site management, and contracted vendors, to develop specifications, address project related issues, and provide overall communications

  • Work within quality systems to implement change control and document revisions.

  • Identify and address compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations.

  • Complete applicable training sessions, workshops, and meetings for continuous professional development.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality standards and actively support regulatory audits of equipment installations, functionality, or related processes.

Qualifications:

Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Focused degree in Engineering (i.e., Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing/Production, or related fields) is preferred.

Required

  • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in Plant Operations and/or Engineering environment.

  • Hands-on experience in support of manufacturing operations (i.e., equipment, facilities, and utilities)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in assessing and influencing change, including vendor management, change control, and/or equipment replacement strategies/process implementations

  • Knowledge of current GMP standards and guidelines related to equipment, utilities, and facilities commissioning and qualification (e.g., ISO, EN, ICH, FDA, ISPE)

  • Ability to prioritize and manage the workload and as required, be able to manage shifting priorities based on critical deadlines so that business needs are always met

  • Service mentality and ability to proactively collaborate with teams and partners, working hands-on on aspects of asset ownership, while identifying areas of improvement

  • Ability to complete walkthroughs of construction areas with donning appropriate PPE and ability to gown to Grade B and C clean room environments.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a plant manufacturing environment

  • Experience within Pharmaceuticals, Biopharmaceuticals/Large Molecule, or equivalent industry.

Other

  • This position supports a 24/7 dynamic biological manufacturing environment and may involve working in mechanical spaces and on utility systems or gowning into Grade B and C environments.

  • Up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$77,000 to $124,200
