Job Description:
Design and development of electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings using industry-standard software and tools or providing input to CAD professionals. The design may be Conceptual to Issued for Construction packages.
Research and select appropriate electrical components, including validation of U.S content, to ensure optimal system performance.
Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design specifications, bills of materials, and test reports.
Ensure that designs comply with relevant safety and industry regulations, and MIL standards, as applicable.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, and mechanical, software and systems engineers, to ensure successful project execution.
Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges related to designs, both independently and as part of a team.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering to drive continuous improvement in our designs.
Education, Experience, and Licensing:
- BS in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited college or university required.
- 2-3 years relevant work experience, including internship or cooperative program experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred, but not mandatory.
