Hardware Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and communicative Hardware Design Engineer to lead failure analysis and corrective design efforts. This role is critical to ensuring product reliability and customer satisfaction through hands-on troubleshooting and strategic design improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead failure analysis and corrective design efforts to improve product reliability.
  • Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and strategic design improvements.
  • Support the engineering team in design tasks, particularly in projects that are behind schedule.
  • Perform 75% troubleshooting/failure analysis and 25% design corrective actions.
  • Provide support to teams on the manufacturing floor.
  • Manage obsolescence effectively as it is a primary function of the team.
  • Conduct stand-up meetings with customers and suppliers to share findings.
Essential Skills
  • Expertise in hardware design and analog systems.
  • Proficiency in failure analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in obsolescence management.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint for presentations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to lead meetings and clearly communicate findings to customers and suppliers.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
