As our next Mechanical Design Engineer , youll be at the forefront of mechanical design and analysis for mechatronic systems, including motors, solenoids, gearboxes, and other actuator systems. What Youll Be Doing:
Perform clean-sheet mechanical design of mechatronic systems for diverse applications
Conduct structural FEA, thermodynamics, bearing load/life calculations, and related analyses
Develop design of experiments to validate models and ensure compliance with performance requirements
Create test plans with a focus on reliability and failure mechanisms
Design mechanical systems with integrated electronics, addressing clearance, creepage, and thermal requirements
Collaborate with engineering, production, and business teams to support design reviews, cost metrics, and customer needs
Interface directly with customers to identify pain points and deliver innovative solutions
Build deep application expertise to drive forward-thinking technologies
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (MET not accepted)
2+ years of applicable industry experience (excluding co-ops/internships, though these are valued)
Graduate degree preferred with equivalent experience
Experience in designing dynamic systems
Strong analytical modeling background, including structural FEA and heat flow simulation (CFD a plus)
Customer-facing experience in technology development and application engineering
Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Strong verbal and written communication, including technical report writing
Basic machine design knowledge (a plus)
Experience in material handling systems (a plus)
Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
CFD simulation experience
Proven track record in customer-driven innovation
