Electrical Engineer - 1.5-3+ years experience required!

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, test, and oversee the implementation of electrical systems for custom HVAC machinery. You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into our machinery designs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and controls for custom machinery.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Select and specify components such as sensors, actuators, controllers, and power systems.
  • Program PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems as needed.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall machinery designs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of designs, revisions, and system configurations.
  • Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of machinery.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in designing and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and controls.
  • Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and control system design.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as NEC, UL, and CE.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the HVAC or custom machinery industry is a plus.
  • Ability to read schematics and perform schematic design.
  • Panel design experience using 2D AutoCAD.
  • Troubleshooting skills with no preference in PLC software.
  • SolidWorks and ladder logic knowledge.
  • HMI programming experience is a nice to have.
  • Component selection expertise.
  • Experience managing PLC programs for a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with cross-functional communication among engineering teams.
Work Environment

The work schedule is from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The business environment is casual, requiring steel-toed boots. There is no travel involved. Enjoy a family-style work environment with opportunities for growth as a member of a small team. Work with customers in the US, Canada, and Australia, with 1.5 years' worth of projects already on the books to build.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pevely, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.27/hr.
