Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using PTC Creo, including 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings, ensuring compliance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Apply tolerance stack-up analysis to support design fit and manufacturability.
- Contribute to FMEA activities to assess and manage design risks.
- Design components using sheet metal and support DFM considerations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, sourcing) throughout the product development cycle.
- Manage design data and documentation using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal design standards and industry best practices.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development.
- Hands-on experience with PTC Creo for part modelling and detailed drafting.
- Working knowledge of ASME GD&T and tolerance analysis techniques.
- Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication principles.
- Familiarity with FEA tools such as ANSYS for basic mechanical validation.
- Comfortable using Agile tools like Jira for task tracking and team collaboration.
- Awareness of PLM systems for managing design data.
- Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset.
