Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for Luling, LA to ensure the reliability, integrity & safe operation of mechanical equipment in a chemical production unit; provide proactive maintenance strategies, troubleshoot mechanical failures, & optimize asset performance to minimize downtown & enhance plant efficiency; provide technical assistance & engineering support for daily maintenance activities; ensure capital investments in equipment are well-planned, cost-effective, & aligned with plant needs. Requires Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering field & 1 yr exp in a mechanical engineering position working in a chemical manufacturing plant: working with Emerson APM asset performance software; working with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module & SAP GUI scripting; working with Prometheus Planning & Scheduling; using Autodesk Vault and/or BIM360 for document management; using AMS Machineworks for vibration monitoring; utilizing PowerBI and/or Google Big Query to develop metrics for Preventive Maintenance Compliance & work order closures; using Python and/or Jupyter for reporting & data analysis; working with Krauss-Maffei Centrifuges for ensuring equipment reliability for separation of product from mother liquor; reviewing & interpreting ASME, NFPA, and/or other industry standards for equipment maintenance and/or installation; & using AutoCAD and/or Plant3D for creating & editing Engineering Flow Diagrams (EFDs) & Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Position must provide 24/7 on-call support 365 days per yr. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week from home office within reasonable commuting distance of Luling, LA. Up to 5% U.S. travel reqd. Salary Range: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $93,000.00 to $120,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
