Mechanical Engineer Intern / Draftsman Location: Beaumont, TX Job Type: Internship / Entry-Level About The Company: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern or Draftsman to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in mechanical design, drafting, and engineering support within a dynamic and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Support the engineering team in design development, prototyping, and documentation. Revise and update existing technical drawings and schematics. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with standards. Participate in team meetings and provide input on design challenges and solutions. Conduct basic calculations and research to support engineering tasks. Organize and maintain drawing files and engineering records. Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated and eager to learn. Preferred (but not required): Experience with 3D modeling and mechanical design projects. Knowledge of GD&T, material selection, and fabrication techniques. Familiarity with PDM systems or engineering documentation standards.
