The Private Banking Group is responsible for developing and managing compelling banking and lending products and services designed to serve the diverse needs of our client base. These products include home loans, securities-based lines of credit, tailored lending products, deposit products, and cash management transaction services offered through our brokerage accounts.
Morgan Stanley Home Loans is seeking an Assistant Vice President Project Manager that will help launch projects and processes designed to meet the needs of our Home Loans clients while complying with regulatory, risk, and operational requirements.
This individual will report to the Executive Director, Head of New Product Development, and will work closely with various partners within the organization such as Change Management, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Communications to ensure execution on a variety of projects and programs.
Responsibilities
Manage initiatives using project management best practices, including issues logs, roles and responsibilities matrices, and project plans.
Participate in gathering and validating project requirements.
Provide status updates to managers, senior leaders, and key stakeholders.
Create PowerPoint presentations to supplement initiative reviews, working groups and status updates.
Schedule and lead meetings and working groups relevant to specific initiatives.
Organize project tasks utilizing project plans
Follow up with partners to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are completed on time.
May involve participation / ownership in New Product Approval or Program Change Management processes.
Qualifications and Skills
4+ year of Program and/or Project Management experience.
Experience with residential mortgage products.
Experience with developing materials / communications to senior leadership.
Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills.
Outstanding organizational skills, with ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities, while still meeting individual and organizational goals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail is a must.
Creative and has a passion for building a positive and engaged company culture.
Demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining relationships in a matrixed environment.
