Job Description
Follow and implement the corporate Technology Readiness Level (TRL) process throughout the development cycle
Ensure requirement alignment and documentation for all assigned projects
Provide ongoing support to the Project Lead across all project phases
Collaborate with internal teams including:
Production Team
Program Management Organization (PMO)
Advanced Purchasing Team
Cost Engineering Team
Engage with external power electronics suppliers and testing laboratories to ensure compliance with technical specifications
Incorporate industry best practices into design features and development processes
Participate in and document:
Design Reviews
Prototype Builds
Validation Activities
Support presentation development and assist in prototype/parts collection for various program stages
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or System Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrification, electronics and circuit design and/or development
- Minimum of 3 years in power inverter, power module design and / or development and testing
- Demonstrable understanding of power electronics and devices
- DVP&R and DFMEA creation & execution experience
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering standards/protocols, and of power electronics devices
- Highly motivated, hands-on and a self-starter
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Effective communicator
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or System Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Power electronics / electrical models, simulation experience, and FEA
- Power electronics specifications expertise
- Electric motor & powertrain controls experience
- Power electronics design and release experience
- Strongly prefer previous hybrid / high voltage experience
- Experienced with supplier program management
- Power electronic component quality and manufacturing experience
- Power electronics fabrication and assembly process
