OVERVIEW
The Senior Mechanical Engineer contributes to the success of the project and Project Team by aiding in the design of automated machinery, improving overall design layouts, and helping implement cost-saving measures.

- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure the timely success of every system
- Collaborate inter-departmentally to develop the best design for every system
- Release drawings in a timely manner to ensure the success of the Materials Team and Production Team
- Assist in production as workload demands
- Produce Excellent Automation Designs
- Design and detail automation systems consisting of machined and formed components, parts conveyance, part fixturing, vision systems, and articulating robot arms
- Perform robot reach and interference studies
- Design pneumatic panels
- Work directly with the customer on design, function, and cost
- Responsible for problem-solving issues that arise during production
- Design, build, and detail a BOM
- Maintain budgetary parameters without sacrificing creativity and customization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of automation design or capital equipment design experience
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling with 10+ years of experience
- Part modeling, assemblies, drafting, and detailing
- Experience working on or with robotic systems preferred
- Previous experience in AutoCAD 2D/3D preferred
- SolidWorks Enterprise PDM experience preferred
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics preferred
- Has shown the ability to design, build, and detail custom automation or machinery worth $1,000,000+
The pay range is based on regional averages and will be adjusted based on the candidate's experience and skills.
