City Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Incumbent provides professional engineering design, engineering support and engineering management services for public works, water, wastewater and similar utilities, projects and programs. Ensures technical compliance with all current Local, State and Federal building codes and construction criteria.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Six (6) years previous professional civil engineering experience including two years engineering design
• New Mexico Certificate of Registration as a professional civil or mechanical engineer, (certification in another State must be transferable).
• Valid driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• State Highway Department training and experience is highly desirable

OTHER CONDITIONS:

• Must pass all pre-employment screenings.

STARTING PAY: $51.40 P/H
