Job Description:
You will be a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in tooling acquisition and installation for our Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) program. Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, and providing engineering support to the production floor.
What You Will Be Doing
Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.
Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing CREO / SolidWorks.
Develop Statement-of-Work (SOW) documents to fully realize manufacturing requirements.
Oversee design reviews at all stages of tooling development (PDR, CDR, and FDR).
Manage tooling installations while adhering to defined project timelines.
Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
Developing and implementing manufacturing processes and systems.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secretclearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with a minimum of 6-8 years of expAbility to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
The ability to translate technical drawings and specifications into practical manufacturing instructions is essential.
Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design.
Experience with machine/tooling/equipment setup, troubleshooting, and proofing.
Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.
Competent with mechanical manufacturing and mechanical assembly.
