Survey Project Manager NJDOT Focus

A growing engineering and surveying firm is hiring a Survey Project Manager with strong NJDOT project experience to lead transportation-related survey efforts. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage projects, mentor teams, and ensure high-quality deliverables on complex public infrastructure work.

What Youll Do:

• Lead survey projects tied to NJDOT standards and requirements from kickoff through completion
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and client communication
• Oversee field and office teams performing ROW, boundary, topographic, and control surveys
• Prepare proposals, estimates, and support ongoing business development
• Ensure compliance with NJDOT procedures, QA/QC standards, and safety protocols
• Review and approve final survey deliverables
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of land surveying experience with a strong focus on NJDOT projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams
• Expertise in ROW, boundary, topographic, and survey control work
• Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and Leica equipment/software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid drivers license

Preferred:

• NJ and/or NY Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
• Experience working with public agencies and transportation infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer and advanced survey workflows
