Advanced Engineering Technician

Pay Estimated: $32.33 - $37.33/Hour

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start

The Advanced Engineering Technician supports engineering activities for prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
• Use manufacturing, test, development, and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
• Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
• Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
• Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement.
• Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures for specialized tasks.
• Organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions or process improvements.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Associate’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience using computers and software applications to support job execution.
• Solid knowledge of computer systems, test equipment, and generally accepted technical theory.
• Experience supporting multiple technical tasks and assignments in a manufacturing, test, development, or engineering environment.
