Job Description
Our client, an international electrical equipment manufacturer specializing in power distribution, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer (PE) to join their team in Greenville, SC.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze customer specifications, RFQs, and technical documents for compliance with high-voltage cicuit breakers
Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC) and identify deviations or exceptions
Recommend product configurations and technical solutions to meet customer requirements
Review and markup electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings
Support technical discussions during sales and bidding processes
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to resolve technical issues and ensure project execution
Support product development, testing, and certification (incl. third-party labs such as CESI/KEMA)
Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes and documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (PE license)
5+ years of experience in power systems or switchgear industry
Strong knowledge of electrical transmission, distribution, and substation equipment
Experience reviewing technical specifications and identifying compliance issues
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred: experience with vacuum circuit breakers (38kV-145kV), testing/validation, and AutoCAD Electrical
