Duties

Help

Serves as a Field Project Coordinor a Field Maintenance Program (FMP) Center. Crees and maintains construction/installion schedules and budgets to ensure completion of projects within schedule and budget. Serves as the principal technical expert to develop new or innovive concepts and approaches to systems, programs, and policies or serves as a senior project manager or team leader for large, challenging work activities. Serves as the focal point for the contracting officer, project engineer and FMP Focals on all technical and contract issues. Manages the logistics portion of construction/installion projects by working with the contracting officer on contractual issues.

Coordines construction/installion activities with project engineers and FMP Focals. Coordines with the approprie regional associe program manager on budget issues to solicit for additional funding. Contacts are both external and internal. Coordines with other organizions and agencies. Interacts with managers and employees within Engineering Services and other FAA organizions. Provides technical advice/direction to field personnel to help plan and implements projects, in addition to overseeing work activities, resolve design problems, construction delays and concerns with construction or installion work.

Recommends project assignments and training for field personnel to increase their job skills and knowledge. Plans, schedules and identifies the resources required to address the construction management needs as identified in the CWP. Oversees the FMP Focals and work force. Works with the project engineers/technicians to schedule project construction phases accordingly based on priorities and available field resources. Must be able to communice and coordine Operional Risk Management throughout the entire construction phase of a project.

Performs work requiring agency-wide leadership for highly complex and challenging technical activities associed with analyzing, designing, modifying, developing, installing, repairing, fabricing, maintaining, or evaluing the most complex systems for which the FAA is responsible. Provides guidance to other technicians and FMP Focals regarding difficult or operional issues. Applies experience and expert technical knowledge of assigned disciplines to develop new concepts, systems, or innovive approaches and to identify and resolve complex issues th may cross-organizional boundaries. Must be able to cree and adhere to funding and budgetary limits for complex projects.

Duties may include climbing, lifting up to 30 pounds, walking up several flights of stairs, working on eleved surfaces, and/or working in outdoor environments.

Qualificions

There is no time frame requirement the Level III/FV-H to compete. Candides must show experience the level of difficulty and responsibility th is approprie to the position. Experience th demonstres an extensive knowledge of providing technical advice or direction to field personnel; scheduling project construction phases based on priorities and available field resources; ability to communice and coordine Operional Risk Management throughout the entire construction phase of a project.

Generally, experience the next lower level FV-H/Level III, meets the minimum qualificions for this position as long as the experience supports the demonstred abilities identified below.
