We are seeking a Technical Womenswear Designer to support the design and development of trend-forward, moderate career, and social dresses. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Fashion Designer to join our women's apparel team. This role will support the development of women's knit and woven categories from concept through production, ensuring fit consistency, garment construction accuracy, and brand aesthetic execution across all product lines. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, hands-on fitting experience, and a passion for product excellence. Patternmaking experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Create and maintain detailed technical packages for women's knit and woven styles Review garment construction, measurements, grading, and fit consistency across categories Lead and participate in fittings with design and production Communicate fit corrections and construction comments clearly to overseas factories Evaluate prototypes, salesman samples, TOP samples, and production submits Partner closely with Design, Production, and Sales teams to ensure product execution aligns with vision and cost targets Track fit approvals and manage timelines through development calendar Troubleshoot construction and fit issues throughout development and production stages Ensure consistency in specs, block development, and quality standards Qualifications 4-5 years of experience in technical design for women's apparel Strong experience with both knits and woven categories Proven experience conducting and managing fittings Patternmaking knowledge strongly preferred Excellent understanding of garment construction, grading, and fit Ability to interpret design intent while maintaining commercial viability Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems preferred Ability to multitask in a fast-paced fashion environment Preferred Qualities Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency Passion for product, fit, and quality craftsmanship Experience working with overseas factories and cross-functional teams Knowledge of print placement Salary: $75,000Full-time, 5 days a week in office
