Job Opening: Operations and Maintenance Engineer
A commercial office building located in the Downtown Houston area near the Pierce Elevated is seeking an experienced full-time Operations and Maintenance Engineer for the 1:00 A.M. 7:00 A.M. shift, Monday through Friday.
Candidates must provide valid identification and successfully pass a background check. Salary will be based on experience.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot pumps, chillers, boilers, air compressors, and air handling units.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning systems.
Understanding of the day-to-day operations of a commercial property.
Perform general repairs, maintenance, and replacement of building fixtures and components.
Familiarity with water treatment chemicals and procedures.
Maintain operation logs, maintenance records, and files.
Basic knowledge of HVAC distribution systems and controls to make adjustments or corrective actions in response to work orders.
Ability to work independently and respond to maintenance issues efficiently during overnight hours.
Qualifications
Previous commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Ability to lift equipment and perform physical maintenance duties as needed.
Must have a boiler license
