HVAC Controls Systems Engineer Leader

Job Title: Sr. HVAC Controls Systems Engineer Duration: 3 Months Location: Fargo, ND Work Mode: Onsite (M–F)

Lead and supervise Controls Systems Engineers/Designers in HVAC controls projects. Responsible for hardware/software engineering, network commissioning, resource planning, project execution, engineering standards, customer satisfaction, and team development. Acts as regional subject matter expert in application engineering.

• Manage engineering team workload, schedules, and project deliverables.
• Lead HVAC controls design, controller/device selection, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate resources across local, offshore, and specialized engineering teams.
• Provide engineering estimates, technical guidance, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project procedures.
• Support project execution, customer relationships, and strategic accounts.
• Monitor project performance using EPIC, IIS, PowerBI, and cost management tools.
• Mentor, hire, and manage engineering staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years of Application Engineering experience (HVAC/Building Automation/Controls).
• 5+ years of engineering team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Construction industry experience.
• Strong HVAC controls, systems engineering, and network commissioning expertise.
• Knowledge of project cost management, engineering standards, and customer-facing project delivery.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Master's Degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Recognized technical expert in multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience with large-scale, Data Center, or Pharmaceutical projects.
