PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a highly motivated Project Manager II Engineering to support an industry-leading global energy organization in Greenville, SC and Schenectady, NY . This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering advanced, efficient energy solutions that power communities worldwide.
Location: Hybrid Hiring for Greenville, SC and Schenectady, NY (23 days onsite weekly)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate starting at $59.93

In this role, you will serve as a key technical leader, guiding engineering activities that directly influence major project outcomesboth technically and financially. Youll collaborate across global teams, engage with customers, and drive solutions that contribute to cleaner, more efficient energy systems.
What Youll Do
As a Project Manager II Engineering, you will:
Act as the technical lead and primary point of contact for customer engineering inquiries, change requests, and communications
Provide technical project management and direction , ensuring alignment with contract requirements
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and field personnel
Lead customer meetings such as kickoff sessions and design reviews with Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) partners
Review and interpret contract documentation , translating requirements into actionable engineering plans
Evaluate scope changes, prepare cost and schedule impact assessments , and manage change control processes
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and incorporate lessons learned into engineering practices
Monitor project risks, resolve technical challenges, and ensure timely delivery of milestones
Manage engineering budgets and provide financial updates, including Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts
Present updates and risk mitigation strategies to leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, design engineering, and/or field engineering
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Willingness to travel approximately 1015%
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in customer-facing roles
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as GTCC
Knowledge of power plant systems including design, manufacturing, installation, or testing
Demonstrated problem-solving and innovation capabilities
Commitment to continuous process improvement
