Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in designing, assembling, and testing autonomous vehicles and auxiliary equipment. This role involves working on a portfolio of autonomous maritime products for defense, marine research, and commercial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
  • Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for various purposes including commercial, industrial, and domestic.
  • Ensure logical and systematic conversion of electrical system requirements into optimized methods for assembly, testing, and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Other electrical engineering duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical engineering and design.
  • CAD tools, Altium, etc
  • Circuit design experience
  • Experience with R&D, quality inspection, and quality control.
  • Ability to use tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to perform visual inspections and work with blueprints.
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 7 years with a Master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary product development teams.
  • Experience in architecting platform electrical and power systems.
  • Experience in designing, simulating, prototyping, testing, production, and maintenance of production-mature circuit card assemblies.
  • Experience supporting the development of automated test fixtures.
  • Familiarity with systems that include hardware and software components developed for DoD, academic, or commercial use.
  • Attention to detail and ability to develop and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Work Environment

This position is part of the Unmanned Systems group within a division that specializes in advanced unmanned maritime solutions for defense, marine research, and commercial applications. The team is involved in design, autonomy, manufacturing, testing, operations, and sustainment of unmanned systems, including unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) and unmanned surface vessels. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, supporting mission-driven solutions for a networked, all-domain force.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pocasset, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
