Role Summary
The Principal Supply Chain Engineer drives the continuous improvement strategy for the BridgeNet 4PL program, leveraging
the project-based delivery model to identify, scope, and realize measurable value across the 13 defined program
opportunities. This role serves as the senior supply chain subject matter expert within the Supply Chain Engineering function,
leading strategic analysis, network design, procurement strategy, and performance optimization initiatives in close
collaboration with Client stakeholders. The Principal Supply Chain Engineer is accountable for ensuring that CI projects deliver
quantified, trackable value and that the program's SCE methodology is applied rigorously and consistently across all
initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the continuous improvement (CI) strategy across the Client 4PL program, driving project-based delivery of all 13
identified supply chain value opportunities.
Own the Supply Chain Engineering (SCE) methodology, establishing structured frameworks for opportunity scoping,
baseline development, solution design, and benefit realization.
Partner with Client stakeholders and internal teams to identify, prioritize, and sequence supply chain improvement
initiatives across freight, inventory, visibility, and procurement dimensions.
Lead strategic supply chain analyses including freight spend baselines, mode mix optimization, carrier direct
contracting opportunities, and inventory right-sizing assessments.
Guide Supply Chain Engineers and Supply Chain Project Managers in developing initiative business cases,
implementation plans, and value realization models.
Manage the program value tracking governance framework, ensuring realized savings are accurately measured,
documented, and reported to Client leadership.
Engage with Client procurement, logistics, and operational teams on strategic planning, category-level supply chain
optimization, and sourcing strategy recommendations.
Represent Supply Chain Engineering at SteerCo reviews and QBRs, communicating CI pipeline status, realized savings, and strategic roadmap priorities. Drive knowledge transfer and capability building within the BridgeNet SC Engineering team and with Client counterparts.
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 10+ years in supply chain engineering, logistics consulting, or operations optimization with 5+ years leading complex multi-initiative improvement programs for Fortune 500 clients.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Deep expertise across the supply chain value chain including transportation procurement, network design, inventory
optimization, demand planning, and supplier management.
Proven track record delivering measurable, quantified supply chain savings through structured project-based
improvement programs.
Strong analytical capabilities including network modeling, freight spend analysis, inventory optimization modeling, and
statistical demand planning.
Executive-level communication and influencing skills with demonstrated experience engaging VP-level client
stakeholders on supply chain strategy.
Experience developing and owning value tracking governance frameworks with rigorous benefit realization
measurement and reporting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in upstream oil and gas or energy sector supply chain, particularly offshore/remote operations logistics.
APICS CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent advanced certification.
Familiarity with BridgeNet platforms and SCE methodology for 4PL program delivery.
