Our client, a leader in the data center industry, is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to join their team. As a Director of Electrical Engineering, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for engineering excellence, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Director of Electrical Engineering
Location: Sterling, VA
Pay Range: $185,000 - $220,000
What's the Job?
- Drive full-cycle electrical design and execution for hyperscale data center infrastructure.
- Collaborate with construction and operations teams to ensure cost-efficient and sustainable electrical systems.
- Oversee the entire electrical design lifecycle, from conceptualization to final commissioning.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert in client engagements and proposal development.
- Manage coordination efforts with external consultants and contractors to maintain project quality.
What's Needed?
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in electrical design and construction.
- Advanced knowledge of data center electrical and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency with design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
