Director of Electrical Engineering

Our client, a leader in the data center industry, is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to join their team. As a Director of Electrical Engineering, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for engineering excellence, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Director of Electrical Engineering

Location: Sterling, VA

Pay Range: $185,000 - $220,000

What's the Job?

• Drive full-cycle electrical design and execution for hyperscale data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with construction and operations teams to ensure cost-efficient and sustainable electrical systems.
• Oversee the entire electrical design lifecycle, from conceptualization to final commissioning.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert in client engagements and proposal development.
• Manage coordination efforts with external consultants and contractors to maintain project quality.

What's Needed?

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in electrical design and construction.
• Advanced knowledge of data center electrical and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency with design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
