Electronics Engineer Jobs

An Electronics Engineer plays an integral role in the engineering industry, contributing towards the design, development and testing of electronic equipment, systems and machinery. This may range from communication and broadcasting equipment, to medical, scientific and industrial electronic devices. As part of their role, they are required to create and interpret complex technical diagrams, and additionally troubleshoot and rectify any issues that arise within electronic systems or equipment. They may also be involved in project management and the supervision of technicians and other engineers.

Essential skills that an Electronics Engineer should possess include strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, attention to detail and effective communication skills. They should also be proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software. In terms of certification, a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering or a related field is typically required, although some positions may necessitate a master's degree or higher. Some positions may also require licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE). Before becoming an Electronics Engineer, a person may have roles such as an Electronics Technician, Engineering Intern, or Junior Engineer.
