They develop and implement quality control systems, oversee the analysis and inspection of products, and identify and eliminate defects for the highest level of customer satisfaction. They also work to enhance the efficiency of production and reduce costs. They are significantly involved in the development and optimization of inspection processes, the analysis of quality cost problems, or the setup of quality control parameters when launching a new product.
