Manufacturing Engineering Technician
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician possesses a strong background in electronics testing, process development, and documentation. This role supports the design, build and troubleshooting of wiring systems, harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, cell leaders and production supervisors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective manufacturing processes.?

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate on the design, documentation, and building of NPI and prototype assemblies (CAD
layouts, BOMs, wire run lists, testing protocols).
- Create detailed process instructions and router sheets to guide component assembly to meet
customer specifications.
- Build and maintain harnesses, harness boards, assembly jigs, and test fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and repair harness boards, assembly jigs and test fixtures.
- Assist New Product Introduction (NPI) with revisions and improvements to build and test
procedures.
- Support daily manufacturing operations and assist in troubleshoot cable test, developing work
instructions and tooling.
- Perform preventive maintenance on test and assembly equipment.
- Develop and execute test programs using tools such as Cirris Easy Wire Testers and CableEye.
- Use diagnostic equipment (cable test equipment, oscilloscopes, voltmeter, power supply, etc.)
to identify and resolve system failures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in manufacturing engineering, process development.
- Hands-on experience assembling wire harnesses, cables, and mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with wire preparation equipment such as AMP G-Press, Artos, Molex, JST,
Schleuniger, Komax is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, schematics, wire run list, wire gauge
identification, and color codes.
- Skilled in using hand tools including MTA, modular connectors, ferrule crimps, and barrel crimp
tools and any other tool related to the wire harness industry.
- Ability to direct and mentor junior technicians.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 certification preferred.
- Soldering experience to IPC standards preferred.
